Breaking
News in 2010!!
THE BLAST-A-BOUT WHEELS START TO ROLL…..
In the build up to the boat show
March 2010, whilst providing boats for both the Streaker Association and
Miracle Association, Dave Butler and his trusty workforce worked through the night
to build what is to become the Blast-A-Bout Trailer, still in its infancy and
with more work to be carried out the Blast-A-Bout is the next product in a long
line of Butler Boats inventions which will provide all ranges of sailors with a
safe and secure storage spaced for any class of boat.
We are further hoping to provide
upgraded versions with sleeping compartments, extra storage facilities and much
much more…….watch this space!
The Blast-A-Bout provides:
-
Ample storage for
two boats on a two-stack system
-
Safe and secure
storage for your boat either at your Club or whilst on your travels
-
Easy loading system
with a fold down back door
-
Innovative hatch at
the front of the trailer for ease of access
The product is only at the
prototype stage however we will endeavour to keep you updated on a regular
basis with our progress, should you have any questions or ideas please feel
free to contact us.
BUTLER BOATS COMPETITION!!!! IT COULD BE YOU!
Recently unveiled at the 2010
Boat Show at Alexandra Palace, London, Butler Boats have yet again created a
product which is not only innovative and practical but can be suited to both
Streaker and Miracle classes.
A simple product made of lightweight
mesh, currently classed as a Boat Tidy, we are offering this product free of
charge to anybody who can come up with a better name for this stunning
product!!!
Whilst we feel the ‘The
Boat Tidy’ is an acceptable name, we would love to hear from anybody who
thinks a more creative name would be better suited to this great ancillary
product!
Please send your ideas, thoughts
or downright crazy suggestions to dave@butlerboats.biz and we
will announce the winner in due course!!!

HOW ABOUT A BIT OF BLING? - Don’t take your eye off
the prize!
Butler
Boats as part of their growing ancillary adventure is happy to announce the
production of a simple yet highly important stainless steel ring which you can
easily attach your sailing watch to.
The
‘Butler Bling’ ensures your eye is never far away from knowing
exactly what time you are on as it is attached in such a position that it can be
seen from any angle at any point!!
FREE BOAT WITH EVERY BOTTLE
OF BUBBLY!!!
It may
come as a surprise to you but just to clarify, when you buy a boat from Butler
Boats a free bottle of bubbly comes with it!!
You
can smash it against the side of the boat, as a type of christening but whether
it’s a fully wooden or FRP the grimace on Dave’s face when you do it is a picture!! Apparently boat
builders can run pretty fast if anything was to go wrong!!!
But
please rest assured, although we jest we also feel that this little bit extra
makes the whole experience for a new customer to Butler Boats that bit more
enjoyable and we really wouldn’t have it any other way.
BUTLER FOILS ANOTHER PLAN
We are
very proud of the standard of work produced here at Butler Boats and in May
2009 we announced the release of a new stock and tiller for the Miracle. We can
now confirm that whilst working in conjunction with SeaSure this product
remains an easy to use piece of equipment, trendy in style and top class!
The
foils provided by the team are not only sourced from sustainable forests but
the finish to each individual piece has to be seen to be believed, some might
say pieces of artwork more suited to an art gallery!
We
would also happily renovate any foils which may have seen better days or are in
need of a bit of a spruce up!! Call us or email to find out more.
IT’S A MIRACLE!
We’ve
just had a Miracle in recently (number 2235) so not the youngest boat, it was
in need of a bit facelift through a bit of elbow grease, hard graft and good
varnish, we’ve yet again renovated a boat which now whilst retaining its
age well looks great and another delighted customer leaves the Boat House.
We
here at the Boat House don’t particularly shout about the quality of work
we do, however there’s no better feeling than seeing a customer leave
with a broad smile across their face.
If
you’ve got a Miracle, Streaker, Heron or Solo which needs that bit of
love, care and attention to restore it to its former glory please let us know
and we’d be more than happy to help, even if it’s just a piece of
advice.
NEW ADDITION TO THE BOAT
HOUSE CREW
The
team were happy to recruit the services of Andy Yates in January 2010, seen as
somewhat of a ‘young Dave Butler’, Andy is studying at Hull Tec
College one day a week whilst working at the Boat House through the week also.
He was
lucky enough to join Dave at the Boat Show in March and enjoyed the experience
thoroughly, meeting representatives from both the Miracle and Streaker
Associations and the irrepressible Mike Rimmer of Sail Register apparently
provided him with some pearls of wisdom on the Saturday night at approximately
midnight!?
It’s
hoped Andy’s natural talent for hard work will see him learn quickly and
develop as a boat builder to fit in well with the work ethos set down by Dave
and CJ.
Along
with the new arrival is Coleen Townsend-Whitteron, a fondly thought of
colleague of approximately 5 years and probably the hardest working person
you’re ever likely to meet, Coleen and Andy whilst making cups of tea and
doing some boat building form a small but integral part of the Butler Boats
work ethic and Dave and CJ can once again show that through their graft, guile
and expert skills the business is once again growing!
Andy
might also be trying his hand at a bit of sailing with Dave this year, so watch
out! (if his knees, back and shoulders hold out!!)
